Nook is the evocative debut album of new Bathurst signing Neavh, bringing us a soothing combination of instrumental downtempo Jazz with a modern approach. With mostly using Rhodes and piano sounds, Neavh is lifting the veil on withheld places and is delivering a beautiful and cozy Jazz-tinged album for hideaway days and solitary sundaze.

Nature and being on your own are the main influences on this beautiful offering that sounds like being made in a cottage with a smoking chimney and a stony brook behind it; where squirrels pick off pine cones from the treetops and magpies keep an eye out for silvery-shining things. Nook is sounding a bit of a mystery, a bit out of a magic world of a long-forgotten place not down on any map.

The album's opening and title track Nook pulls you immediately into the realm of Neavh and marks the starting point for this wonderful listening experience. While each additional song takes you deeper and deeper into an unknown, but at the same time very familiar-sounding world to close your eyes and reverie about.
